He actually made an effort to forgive his ...I know! He actually made an effort to forgive his adoptive dad and talked to him for a few years but could never make the relationship work. His parents are actually divorcing and he no longer speaks to his dad.<br /><br />I believe that today, there are a lot more resources out there for adoptive parents and a lot more support than there was thirty years ago and I am sure that if you go that route, you'll do a great job raising your adopted child!<br /><br />I hope you're right! I can't imagine growing up that way, but I can see why he wouldn't want to adopt after all he went through.
